I don’t know about you but, this self-isolation-in-pandemic challenge is taking my endurance and meditative skills to the max. I’ve organized, I’ve gardened, I’ve even taken up knitting (it’s not going well). All in an effort to keep my mind occupied and keep myself feeling productive. At the end of the day, it’s all about loving yourself and loving your home and I’ve found our essential oils to be extremely effective in establishing a positive space. While they can’t every problem vanish, essential oils can have an extreme impact on our mood. Here are our favorite five essential oils to ease anxieties in isolation and alwayys. If you want my tips on feeling productive in isolation this is the read for you.
Lavender
What It’s For
We’re starting things off with a classic essential oil for putting anxiety to rest and falling into an oh so relaxing mood. I’m not kidding when I say that this stuff can put me to sleep, almost instantly. Lavender is a mood calming relaxer that can also help you go to sleep.

While lavender essential oil is great in a diffuser I also love to put a few drops on my wrists and rub them together.
White Sage
What It’s For
While a little bit on the pricey side, this Mojave Desert white sage essential oil might be one of my favorites. Also, a little bit of this stuff goes a long way. White sage is invigorating, refreshing and will give a boost to any day.

My favorite way to use this essential oil is with a tealight burner.
Ylang Ylang
What It’s For
This is a brand new one for me and I cannot, in any way, take credit for discovering it. My friend Bari @barij wrote a new design book, Bloom Wild where she recommends this beautifully floral essential oil. It’s known as an antidepressant and mood enhancer.
Our Favorite Way To Use It
A few drops in your diffuser and you will be saying “what isolation?”!
