Ever found that your store bought plants need a planter facelift on day one of bringing them home from the store? Me too!

As soon as the spring weather starts rolling in (still waiting for that here in Boston) I usually go on a purchasing spree and acquire as many houseplants as I can find. It doesn’t matter whether or not I have a place picked out in my home, I just buy the plants I love and figure it out later (noticing a theme here?). Most recently, I acquired a new Yucca plant and large Fiddle Leaf Fig tree that are really gorgeous additions to our home!

The problem I usually encounter is a terrible starter planter.  The plastic planters they come in are ratty and do very little to complement a well-designed home. Originally I wanted large ceramic pots but found them to be wildly expensive and super heavy. It wasn’t until I was shopping around at TJMaxx one day that I discovered the beauty, ease and affordability of woven baskets! Take a look below at some easy tips and my favorite baskets for a planter facelift that will help you get your foliage in order for spring!
